HR Intern

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world?s leading global law firms with almost 4,000 lawyers and staff in 30 offices is seeking a Human Resources Intern, reporting to the Human Resources Manager. This position will reside in the Boston office and will assist with the day-to-day activities of local Human Resources.
General Responsibilities:
? Collect and process employee, new hire and departure paperwork
? Receive and respond to routine correspondence, emails and employee inquiries
? General administrative duties including drafting documents, photocopying, scanning, and preparing mailings
? Maintain employee personnel files
? Prepare for new hire orientation; conduct contractor orientation
? Track and schedule 45-day check-ins
? Provide tracking and support for the employee recognition program
? Prepare agendas for meetings, schedule conference rooms, confirm catering orders, schedule training, and monitor/follow-up on action items
? Assist with special projects, as needed
? A High School diploma; currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program; Human Resources focused preferred

? Basic knowledge of the following software: MS-Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
