Summary:
The Case Aide provides a wide range of support to the Community Integration Team, Case Managers, and clients to ensure client needs are met.
Responsibilities may range from interpretation (native and other languages through interpretation services), apartment set-up, collection of and disbursement of documents, transporting/accompanying clients to appointments, travel training or other cultural orientation skills.
This is an entry level position to the world of human services and an introduction to resettlement services.
Flexibility of hours, bi-lingual and ability to drive in the United States are highly preferred.
This is a per-diem hourly position without benefits.
Position Responsibilities Acts in a highly professional and confidential manner with client information, documents, and all communications.
Be on time and focused for assigned tasks.
Communicate with Supervisor any client issues, concerns, or red flags where higher intervention may be needed.
Attend and participate in training sessions to build knowledge and skills (virtual/in-person).
Consistently communicate in a respectful and supportive manner with clients and colleagues.
Provide verbal interpretation between clients and staff, as requested.
Supports messaging and activities to support self-sufficiency and independence for all clients.
Assist with/carry out apartment move-ins, set-ups or moves.
Accompany clients to various appointments to assist them in learning how to navigate American systems and travel training, as requested.
Communicate all client interactions to CM's for the purpose of case documentation via text or email.
Assist team during case emergencies with being present and/or transporting clients.
Assist with/carry out airport pick-ups or other transportation needs to ensure client full participation in services.
Assist with the provision of cultural orientation in a variety of ways, as requested.
Utilize problem solving, analytical, communication and crisis management skills to assist clients, if necessary.
Other duties assigned or requested.
Position Requirements Bi-Lingual (English and another language of clients served, Arabic, Spanish, Dari/Pashto, French, Haitian-Creole, Ukrainian, etc.
).
Valid United States work authorization.
Flexibility to work various hours of the day, as needed.
Ability to manage lifting, carrying, or moving 40 pounds of materials.
In addition, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Valid or eligible for a Connecticut State Driver's License.
Successful clearance of required background checks.
Schedule:
As scheduled and may include evenings and weekends.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
